This is a tasty non-vegetarian side dish that goes well with rice and Indian bread varieties. Here tender mutton is cooked first and then roasted with onion and spices. Try it out once you will be tempted to make it repeatedly. This is an easy recipe to follow and it wont require much ingredients. So this is specially for all the meat lovers 🙂
Ingredients
- Mutton – 500 gram
- Onion – 2
- Fennel seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
- Green chilly – 2
- Ginger garlic paste – 2 teaspoon
- Red chilly powder – 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder – 2 teaspoon
- Garam masala – 1 teaspoon
To Marinate
- Red chilly powder – 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder – 2 teaspoon
- Pepper powder – 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
Preparation
- Mix all the ingredients to marinate with little water to make a paste. Add cleaned mutton pieces into it and mix well.
- Cook the mutton till it becomes tender.
- Heat oil in a pan and add fennel seeds,sliced onion and curry leaves.Cover and cook till onion turns brown in colour.
- Add ginger garlic paste, green chilly and saute. Add red chilly, turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala and cook for 2 minutes.Sprinkle little water to this.
- Add cooked mutton and mix well. Cook in medium flame by stirring in between till mutton is dry and becomes dark brown.
