Cherry Ice Cream

Cherries usually will be sour in taste, if you add the puree with suitable ingredients, you can turn it into a good dessert. Other options are juice, cake, pie etc. If you have leftover cherries in your cabinet, why don’t you try this out?


  •  Cherries – 1 cup
  •  Sugar – 1/4 cup
  •  Condensed milk – 1/4 cup
  •  Whipping cream – 250 ml


  1. Wash and de-seed the cherries. Heat a pan and add the cherries with sugar and cook. The sugar will melt and after 5 minutes you will get a thick sauce.
  2. Remove from flame and allow to cool then puree the cherry sauce in a blender.
  3. Transfer the condensed milk and the whipping cream into a bowl and whip it. Now add the strained cherry sauce and mix well.
  4. Transfer the cream mixture into a freezer safe bowl. Close it tightly and allow to freeze for an hour inside the freezer. Take it out and whip it again then close the bowl and keep inside the freezer.
