Manga Chammanthi / Mango Chutney


This is a special chutney with raw mango and coconut, the sourness of mango will add more taste to this and it can be served as a side dish for the rice. For the spiciness either you can use red chili or green chili, here I’m using green chili, that’s why the color is light.


  • Mango – 1
  • Green Chili – 3
  • Shallots – 4
  • Coconut – 1/2 cup
  • Ginger – small piece
  • Curry leaves – a few
  • Salt – As needed


  1. Grind mango slices along with all the other ingredients without adding water.
  2. Serve with hot rice / Kanji and pickle.
